When you create or use an AuctionVerse account, we may collect information such as your email address, username, authentication identifiers, profile information you choose to provide, leagues you create or join, team names, auction and draft activity, bids, player selections, squads, captain or vice-captain selections, trades, waivers, fantasy scores and standings.
We may also receive limited technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, approximate location and general usage information.
2. Why we use this information
We use information to operate AuctionVerse and provide account authentication, league management, auctions, drafts, fantasy scoring, standings, trades, waivers, commissioner controls, security, abuse prevention, debugging and product improvement.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
3. Information visible to other users
Some information is meant to be visible inside AuctionVerse. Users in the same league may be able to see your username, team name, squad, bids, auction results, draft selections, fantasy points, standings and other league activity.
4. Authentication, hosting and infrastructure
AuctionVerse may use third-party providers for authentication, databases, hosting, analytics and infrastructure. These providers may process information needed to deliver their services to AuctionVerse.
Current or future providers may include services such as Supabase, Vercel and analytics providers. Their own privacy policies may also apply to their processing.
5. Analytics, ads and cookies
AuctionVerse may use analytics tools to understand traffic, product usage and technical performance. We may also display advertising in parts of the service.
Advertising and analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies where permitted. Necessary cookies may also be used for authentication, security and preferences.
AuctionVerse may offer a paid option that removes or reduces advertising. Buying an ad-free option does not give advertisers access to your private account information.
6. Payments for optional features
AuctionVerse may introduce optional paid features in the future, such as an ad-free experience, subscriptions or other premium functionality. If a purchase is introduced, payment details may be processed by a third-party payment provider rather than stored directly by AuctionVerse.
We will explain the applicable price and feature before a user makes a purchase.
7. Sports and fantasy data
AuctionVerse processes fixtures, player statistics, match results and fantasy points. Some of this information may come from third-party sports-data providers.
Fantasy scores may be recalculated if the underlying match statistics are corrected, delayed or updated.
8. Data retention
We may keep account and league information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate AuctionVerse, maintain competition records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, satisfy security needs or comply with legal obligations.
Information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.
9. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your AuctionVerse account and associated personal information. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or where necessary to preserve completed league records, security logs or dispute history. Where appropriate, retained information may be anonymized.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. No website, database or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials.
11. Children
AuctionVerse is not intended for children below the minimum age required to consent to online services under applicable law. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a person who cannot legally provide consent, we may delete the relevant account or information.
12. Third-party services and international processing
Third-party services linked to or used by AuctionVerse may operate independently and may process data in countries different from where you live. Their own privacy practices may apply.
13. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. AuctionVerse will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as AuctionVerse develops. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
